A quest for boxes.

A few shots from our quest for boxes/materials this past monday.  A big thank you to Brandon Colaprete  who led the way to this box gold mine!  We are still in need of materials (boxes, windows, plywood, cool old treasures, rusty objects, etc) so give us a holler if you have a stash that you'd like to donate in the name of art!

Back at it!

Hello Rochester!  Its official - Sweet Meat Co. is back at it!  After a wonderful turn out and response from our inaugural show in January 2010 and a year filled with individual and collaborative showings, the whole gang is together again to put on our second official art extravaganza! We have found a space in the public market and will be working there for the next month.  Mark your calenders:  

Friday, June 24th 2011!

St.Monci and Mr.Prvrt are back at it with a show of all new work opening this week at the Tap & Mallet (381 Gregory St. - in the S. Wedge).  So come down Thursday night, have a pint and check out the show.

Erich just joined the rank of bloggers over on clubmumble.com. Club Mumble is a group blog focusing on influences of contemporary art, skateboarding, and street culture. He'll be writing about events, artist, and skateboarding in the upstate region. His first posted photo is a doozy!

SMC Mural on Elton St. and Other News

Drive by Elton St. to catch the Sweet Meat Co.'s latest mural. We are all very excited with how this turned out, as it really enabled us to all work together on one single, uniform piece. We think it came out pretty darn great.

In other news Sarah's been in NYC the last week showing the amazing illustrations for Frankie's Spuntino Kitchen Companion & Cooking Manual. You can buy the book here.
