SMC Mural on Elton St. and Other News
Drive by Elton St. to catch the Sweet Meat Co.'s latest mural. We are all very excited with how this turned out, as it really enabled us to all work together on one single, uniform piece. We think it came out pretty darn great.
You can check out more of our "process pics" over on our Facebook page. Of course, you'll probably have to log into facebook, but it's pretty worth it!
In other news Sarah's been in NYC the last week showing the amazing illustrations for Frankie's Spuntino Kitchen Companion & Cooking Manual. You can buy the book here.
We're also hard at work trying to figure out our next big blast, so please stay tuned! There will be at least one more SMC sighting this summer!

The Sweet Meat Co.; a brief overview
This is the glowing moment of inception, experimentation, and growth. Our inaugural show, Saturday, Jan 30th, will be a culmination of seven artists working collectively for a one-month period within the walls of a temporary 2500 sq. ft. space in the Hungerford building. We will be hosting a one night only showing - a party celebrating the artistic heartbeat of Rochester and its beautiful, raw potential. Our materials have been found and foraged from Rochester’s thrown away treasures and resurrected in our space, a room set within a once thriving “fruits and flavors” factory building, that is now home to artists, local businesses, and social deviants alike.
We have come together, young artists all navigating our ways through our chosen creative paths, dealing with the distractions of everyday life, of the jobs that pay our way, of even our loved ones, and we are feeding off each other’s struggle, passion and talent.
Come join us for our one night only creative extravaganza and see for yourselves what we’re all about! (January 30th from 7pm-1am, 1115. E. Main Street, Door 2, 2nd floor).
